Goats Milk Soap benefits
Goats milk has many vitamins and other essential elements to help nourish skin. These include vitamins A, E, C, some of the B vitamins, amino and citric acids, unsaturated fatty acids and zinc.
Goats milk has natural moisturizing properties so many times you don't need lotions. It contains caprylic acid which makes the product a low pH level because it is an alkaline product. This brings the pH closer to human skin and prevents dryness while allowing nutrients to enter the skin. It's great for skin problem such as acne and eczema.
MEET Marlene
Welcome to my shop. I am a homeschooling mom of 11 and grandma to 7. My husband Mark and I have been married since 1983. We live on a dairy farm in southern Wisconsin.
I started making goats milk soaps in 2003 when our daughters took piano lessons on a goat farm. Eventually some of those goats made it back to our farm as our kids fell in love with those "kids". We made cheese, yogurt, baked...anything you could think of with the goats milk until eventually we were left with soap.
To be totally honest, the first few batches did not turn out. I did lots of research online, talked to other soap makers to see what I did wrong. A couple of years later...I started making nice looking soap. Move ahead a couple of more years I started selling to friends and local craft shows.
In April 2008 we lost a baby. My friends could see I wasn't in a good place so they suggested that I start an online shop. It gave me a new focus and direction in my life. The first shop opened May 15 on Hyena cart and July 25 on Etsy. Since then I've closed the Hyena cart and focused on Etsy.

Each of my listing has a complete listing of ingredients so you can make wise choices when shopping in my shop. I list the oils in order of how I use them. The "skin safe colorings" I use are the same colors used in mineral makeup. Such as oxides and micas. All of my bar soaps are made with 100% goats milk with no added water.
